MJS Security (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a security company based at 89 Virginia Way, Welkom, South Africa. With 22 years of experience, we provide 24/7 monitoring and armed response, guarding, and technical services (like alarm and camera installations) to clients in Welkom and Virginia. These Terms apply to all services we offer and your use of our website.
2. Our Services
We offer the following:
24/7 Monitoring and Armed Response: Continuous monitoring of alarms and cameras with rapid armed response.
Guarding: 24-hour armed or unarmed guarding with armed backup.
Technical Services: Installation and repair of alarm systems, cameras, intercoms, gate motors, garage door motors, and electric fencing.
Services are provided based on agreements made with you, either verbally or in writing. We aim to deliver professional, ethical, and high-quality security, but specific details (like response times or equipment used) depend on your contract and location within Welkom and Virginia.
3. Your Responsibilities
When you use our services, you agree to:
Provide accurate information (e.g., contact details, property address) so we can serve you effectively.
Pay for services as agreed—rates and terms will be outlined in your contract or invoice.
Notify us promptly of any issues, like equipment malfunctions or security concerns, by calling 057 402 0011 or emailing info@mjssec.co.za.
Use our services for lawful purposes only and follow any instructions we provide (e.g., alarm usage guidelines).
Failure to meet these responsibilities may affect our ability to protect you or could result in service suspension.
4. Payments and Fees
Fees depend on the service you choose (e.g., monitoring subscriptions, guarding hours, or one-time installations).
Pensioners may qualify for discounted rates—ask us for details.
Payments are due as outlined in your agreement. Late payments may incur additional charges, and we reserve the right to pause services until accounts are settled.
All amounts are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
5. Service Limitations
We strive for a 99% success rate, as we’ve achieved over 2,500 projects, but:
Response times may vary due to traffic, weather, or other factors beyond our control.
Technical services depend on equipment availability and compatibility—some repairs may require parts we don’t stock.
Guarding and response services are limited to Welkom and Virginia unless otherwise agreed.
We’re not liable for losses caused by events like power outages, internet failures, or client-provided equipment issues.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
You can cancel services by contacting us in writing at info@mjssec.co.za or accounts@mjssec.co.za.
Cancellation terms (e.g., notice period) depend on your contract—check your agreement for specifics.
Refunds, if applicable, are processed within 30 days, minus any costs for services already provided.
One-time installations (e.g., cameras) are non-refundable once completed, unless we fail to meet agreed standards.
7. Privacy
We respect your personal information:
We collect details like your name, address, and phone number to provide services.
We won’t share your info with third parties unless required by law or necessary for service delivery (e.g., equipment suppliers).

8. Liability
We’re responsible for delivering services with care and skill, using our 88 trained, PSIRA-registered team members.
We’re not liable for damages or losses caused by your failure to follow instructions, misuse of equipment, or events outside our control (e.g., natural disasters).
Our liability is limited to the cost of the service you purchased, unless otherwise required by law.
9. Changes to Services or Terms
We may adjust services (e.g., pricing or coverage areas) with reasonable notice—check your contract for how we’ll inform you.
These Terms may update from time to time. The latest version will be posted on our website, effective as of the “Last Updated” date above.
10. Termination
We can end services if you breach these Terms (e.g., non-payment) after giving you a chance to fix the issue.
We’ll notify you by phone (057 402 0011) or email if termination is necessary.
Upon termination, you must settle any outstanding fees.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by South African law. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Welkom, South Africa, unless we agree otherwise.
